Ekaśhloki Bhāgavatam
The story of Srimad Bhāgavatam in one shloka

ādau devakī-devi-garbha-jananaṃ
ādau - At the beginning, devakī-devi-garbha-jananaṃ - (Krishna was) born in Devakī Devī's womb
At the beginning, the avatara of MahaVishnu, SriKrishna was born to Devaki Devi and Vasudeva.

gopī-gṛhe-vardhanaṃ
gopī-gṛhe - in the home of the Gopis, vardhanaṃ - he grew up
For fear of the evil King Kamsa killing him, his father Vasudeva dropped him off with his friend Nanda Raja, and so he was lovingly raised in the home of the cowherds, the Gopis Nanda and Yashoda.

māyā-pūtana-jīvitāpaharaṇaṃ
māyā-pūtana – rākṣasī Pūtana, jīvita apaharaṇaṃ - took away the life of
A rākṣasī named Pūtana was sent to kill the baby Krishna and tried to do so by feeding him poisoned milk. He took away the life of Pūtana by sucking out her life energy.

govardhanoddhāraṇaṃ
govardhana - Govardhana mountain, uddhāraṇaṃ – was raised
Krishna tells his tribe of Gopālakas to worship the Govardhana mountain which sustains their very lives instead of King of the Devās, Indrā. This makes Indrā angry and he sends storms to Vrindāvana for seven days and nights. A young Krishna lifted the Govardhana mountain on his small finger and invited all of Vrindāvana to stay under it for protection, making Indrā realize that Krishna is none other than MahāVishnu.

kaṃsa-cchedana
kaṃsa - Evil King of Mathura, Kamsa, cchedana - killed
(Krishna's own uncle and the evil king of Mathura, Kamsa had imprisoned Krishna's parents and killed hundreds of babies in fear of being killed by Krishna. Invited to Mathura, Krishna and Balarama fought with his army of asuras. Krishna fought with and) killed Kamsa in combat in front of all of Mathura.

kaurava-ādi-hananaṃ
kaurava-ādi - Kauravas and others, hananaṃ - killed
Krishna guided the Pandavās who walked the path of dharma in killing of the Kauravas and others who also were on the side of adharma. In the picture, Krishna slays Sishupāla, his cousin and enemy, who insults him in court by slicing him with the Sudarshana Chakra, showing all his powers as MahāVishnu.

kuntī-sutān-pālanaṃ
kuntī-sutān - the sons of Kunti, the Pandavas, pālanaṃ - protected
Krishna advised, guided and protected the sons of Kunti, Pandavās and Draupadi Devi, who always followed the path of dharma.

yetad-bhāgavatam purāṇa-kathitaṃ
etat – this is, bhāgavata-purāṇa-kathitam – the story of Bhagavata Purana
Maharshi Veda Vyāsa, though he had compiled the Vedas and composed the Purāṇas, and even created the pañchama veda Mahābhārata, remained inwardly unsatisfied. At the urging of Nārada, he turned his mind fully to pure devotion and composed the purāṇa Śrīmad Bhāgavatam.

śrīkṛṣṇa-līlā-amṛtaṃ
śrīkṛṣṇa-līlā-amṛtaṃ - the amṛtaṃ of Shri Krishna's stories.
These līlās or stories of Shrīkṛṣṇa are amṛtaṃ, the nectar that reaches our minds and hearts and turns us towards mumukśutvam, the seeking of mokśam or realizing oneness with Ishwara.
