Sankata-nāśana Gaṇeśa Stotram

nārada uvāca |
Maharśhi Narada said
praṇamya śirasā dēvaṁ gaurīputraṁ vināyakam |
bhaktāvāsaṁ smarēn-nityam āyuṣ kāmārtha siddhayē || 1 ||
pranamya śirasā dēvaṁ — bowing the head to Ganesha; gaurī-putram — son of Pārvatī; vināyakam - the one who is leader to all and has no leader above them, bhaktā-vāsaṁ — refuge of devotees; smaret nityam — remember daily; āyuḥ-kāma-artha-siddhaye — for long life, wishes, and prosperity
After bowing down to Lord Vināyaka, the son of Goddess Gaurī and the protector of devotees, we remember him every day for a long life, to fulfill all our wishes, and for success in life.

The 12 names of Gaṇeśha
Śloka 2
prathamaṁ vakratuṇḍaṁ ca ēkadantaṁ dvitīyakam |
tr̥tīyaṁ kr̥ṣṇapiṅgākṣaṁ gajavaktraṁ caturthakam || 2 ||
prathamaṁ - first, vakratuṇḍam — curved trunk, ekadantam — one-tusked, dvitīyakam - second, tr̥tīyaṁ - third, kṛṣṇa-piṅgākṣam — dark, reddish-brown eyes; gaja-vaktram — elephant-faced, caturthakam - fourth
The first name is Vakratuṇḍa, he who has a curved trunk; the second is Ekadanta, he who has one tusk; the third is Kṛṣṇa-piṅgākṣa, he who has dark, reddish-brown eyes; and the fourth is Gajavaktra, he who has the face of an elephant.
Śloka 3
lambōdaraṁ pañcamaṁ ca ṣaṣṭhaṁ vikaṭamēva ca |
saptamaṁ vighnarājaṁ ca dhūmravarṇaṁ tathāṣṭamam || 3 ||
lamba udaram — large-bellied, pañcamaṁ - fifth (name); ṣaṣṭhaṁ - sixth, vikataṁ — mighty and powerful form; saptamaṁ - seventh, vighna-rājaṁ — king over obstacles; dhūmra-varṇaṁ — colour of smoke (gray), tatha aṣṭakam - that is the eighth
The fifth name is Lambodara or he who has a large belly; the sixth is Vikata or the one who is mighty and powerful; the seventh is Vighnarāja, the lord over obstacles; and the eighth name is Dhūmravarṇa or the color of smoke.
Śloka 4
navamaṁ phālacandraṁ ca daśamaṁ tu vināyakam |
ēkādaśaṁ gaṇapatiṁ dvādaśaṁ tu gajānanam || 4 ||
navamaṁ - ninth, phāla-candraṁ — he who has a moon on his forehead; daśamaṁ - tenth, vināyakam — the one who is the leader of all and has no leaders above him; ēkādaśaṁ - eleventh, gaṇapatim — lord of gaṇas or powerful beings; dvādaśaṁ - twelfth, gaja ānanaṁ — the one who has an elephant face
The ninth name is Phālacandra, he who has a moon on his forehead; the tenth is Vināyaka, the one who is the leader of all and has no leaders above him; the eleventh is Gaṇapati or the lord of the powerful gaṇas, and the twelfth is Gajānana or the one who has an elephant face.

Śloka 5
dvādaśaitāni nāmāni trisandhyaṁ yaḥ paṭhēnnaraḥ |
na ca vighnabhayaṁ tasya sarvasiddhikaraṁ param || 5 ||
dvādaśaitāni nāmāni - these twelve names, tri-sandhyam paṭhen naraḥ — people who chant these three times a day - at dawn, noon, dusk; na vighna-bhayam tasya — no fear of obstacles for them; sarva-siddhi-karam param — they receive the highest of powers
One who chants these twelve names three times a day is freed from fear of obstacles and gains the highest power and success in all dharmika pursuits.

Śloka 6
vidyārthī labhatē vidyāṁ dhanārthī labhatē dhanam |
putrārthī labhatē putrān mōkṣārthī labhatē gatim || 6 ||
vidyārthī — student or seeker of knowledge, labhatē vidyāṁ - gains knowledge; dhanārthī — seeker of wealth, labhatē dhanam - gains wealth; putrārthī — seeker of children, labhatē putrān - receives the blessing of children; mokṣārthī — seeker of moksham, gatim - that result
Whoever seeks knowledge gains it, whoever seeks wealth gains it, whoever desires children receives that blessing, and one who seeks moksham is guided towards it.
Śloka 7
japēd-gaṇapati-stōtraṁ ṣaḍbhir-māsaiḥ phalaṁ labhēt |
saṁvatsarēṇa siddhiṁ ca labhatē nātra saṁśayaḥ || 7 ||
japet gaṇapati-stōtraṁ — by chanting this Ganapati Stotram; ṣaḍbhiḥ māsaiḥ — within six months; phalam labhet — will gain results; saṃvatsareṇa — within a year; siddhiṁ labhatē — full success, na atra saṁśayaḥ - do not have any doubts
By chanting this stotram everyday, one receives results within six months and full success within a year. This is assured.
Śloka 8
aṣṭabhyō brāhmaṇēbhyaśca likhitvā yaḥ samarpayēt |
tasya vidyā bhavētsarvā gaṇēśasya prasādataḥ || 8 ||
likhitvā — by writing; aṣṭabhyaḥ brāhmaṇebhyaḥ samarpayēt — offering to eight Brahmanas or learned devotees; tasya vidyā bhavēt sarvā - they will gain all knowledge, gaṇēśasya prasādāta — by Gaṇeśa's grace
One who writes this stotram eight times and offers it respectfully to eight learned devotees is blessed with all forms of knowledge through the grace of Lord Gaṇeśa.
